Research interest

Orchidaceae with more than 25,000 species spread all over the world, the research to understand this family will be endless. Many types of research have been done about their habit, pollinators, systematics, bioactive compound and other life aspects. The Coelogyninae is one of the few subtribes that showed a high content of bioactive compound, the most recent research is about Himalayan Coelogyninae. However, there is no information yet available about Indonesian Coelogyninae.

Current research topics

The aims of this Ph.D. are to evaluate the pharmacological properties of Indonesian Coelogyninae species and update the current classification of the genus Glomera by taxonomic revision and molecular phylogenetic study.
