Culture facilities

Conditioned culturing techniques for biological samples for scientific research.

Culture lab

In these laboratories, living biota are reared for various experiments.

1. Chemicals cabinet. To safely store flammable and poisonous chemicals.
2. Laminar flow cabinet. In this cabinet, sterile air is blown across the table to prevent infection while preparing culture dishes.
3. Microscopes. Used to judge the quality and make a selection of cultures.

4. Rearing cabinet. Living samples can be grown at a fixed temperature and specified light/dark regime.

Culture chamber

1. Display. Shows temperature and humidity in order to create the ideal conditions for culturing eg. orchids, insects or bacteria.
2. Dimmable lights. Emitting the right wavelengths for photosynthesis.
