Due to the construction of our new museum, part of the collection won't be available for loans or visits for a period of time.
Botany collection
The botany collections/herbarium housed elsewhere in Leiden, will remain open to visitors and available for loans during construction work until further announcement. Please contact Christel Schollaardt for more information.
Zoologial collection
Please be aware that the zoological collections of Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden will be closed to all visitors, including Synthesys Access applicants, as well as all loan requests for a period of about 30 months, from September 1st, 2016 till late 2018/early 2019. Please contact Steven van der Mije for more information on the Vertebrate & Invertebrate collections. Contact Luc Willemse for information on the Entomological collections.
Geological and Paleontological collections
The geological and paleotological collections is partly available during construction work for a period of about 30 months, from September 1st, 2016 till late 2018/early 2019. Please contact Caroline Pepermans for more information.
